  Tried the Boardwalk on a wet Saturday morning instead of our usual Milk and Honey across the road and basically we wished we hadn’t.We ordered the sweet hot cakes (they were more like pancakes and tasted like they had been made from a commercial mix), the bacon and poached eggs on toast (eggs okay, bacon awful and the toast had a weird grainy bits in it and came with cold slabs of butter).The flat whites were awful but the vanilla milk shakes were good.Service was okay.We won’t be back

  Lovely place to sit by the ocean! Primo food, fast and friendly service. So much choice on the menu and even though some things can seem a bit pricy you do get a decent serving for your money. I only ordered one of the cheaper meals ($16 fish tacos) but it was quite decently sized and included fries too. Will be coming back here next time I’m in Napier!

  We went for dinner Sat night. It was OK. Tried to book in for Sunday breakfast at 8.30 they said all booked, then someone else said they could fit us in which was great. They open at 8, we got there at 8.20, door locked. Finally got in and ordered. Orders were two lots of poached eggs on toast, big breakfast and savoury waffle. Poached eggs hard, one tiny waffle, mushrooms dry, measly serving of butter, waffle dry. Forcing food down as well as we could then noticed a bug. We all stopped eating. Told waitress, she said it was a sand fly and left plate there. We told her about eggs as well. Offered to make us more. We said we don’t have time and didn’t want to eat anymore due to bug. It’s wasn’t a sand fly but a weavel type of bug. She still left plate there. So we left. They only deducted one lit if eggs. We disputed this. But in their eyes the customer was wrong. We will never go back there and will tell everyone we know not to go there.

  Overall, a great location serving pretty good food, with very nice service. The menu is quite large, with plenty of offerings for every palate and appetite. The beers on tap are good, and served in great glassware. We enjoyed a few shared dishes, and the Thai chilli mussels were more-ish, and we found the salt and pepper squid serving was tasty, and a little lean on the serving size. Offers lots of seatings options, both indoor and outdoor. Reasonable prices for food and drinks, and a million dollar view of the popular foreshore. A solid 3.5/5

  Excellent customer service, and and good range menu! Stunning views out to sea, and sheltered seats from the wind. I highly recommend this place.

  Pricey. $$$But the food was wonderful. We had steak and wow.Staff were friendly, great communication skills.Ambience was wonderrrful. We went here during our valentines day as it has the best ambience in napier.

  Very enjoyable meal, I had the chicken stir fry with hoikken noddle which was one of the chefs specials for the week. The flavour was delicious and was pleasant on my taste buds. The service was ok but nothing special. My step fathers fish and chips where slightly under cooked and my mother’s chowder didn’t have many shrimps. My only other complaint is that there weren’t many vegetarian options for my sister. She ended up having and buger with no patty which she says was ok. Overall we all did have a good time
