When there last night, when looking at the reviews realised people who didn’t like had a lot to say and not many good reviews properly because if they like deonos just haven’t had a chance to write something. Well we went last night with the kids. Great atmosphere, great food will be going again. Try it like we did and you will be surprised how nice it is
We heard great things about Deano’s especially when they were on the parade. We wanted to give them a try and did and will never go back again. Food was terrible. On the other hand staff were great.
Maybe Deanos should amend their web page !!! Party of four turned up for lunch Saturday at 12.30pm. Not open , doors closed . Someone round the back (staff) said NOT OPENING FOR LUNCH . CLEARLY states open 11am Tues-Sunday .
Wanted to take my partner out for a Sunday lunch. What a waste of time!! Travelling over to Napier from Hastings. We had heard good things about Deano’s, and the prices and pictures were fantastic. But when we got there, the doors were wide open and two guys were standing behind the bar having a casual chat, with the vacuum cleaner still plugged in on the floor, and all the chairs up on the tables, screamo/death metal music blaring! So anyway we asked if they were open for service, they said yes. He handed us our menus and didn’t direct us to a table. So we had to put our own chairs down!!! After about 5mins of scoping the menu, they still hadn’t turned the music down. We decided to leave, because we didn’t have to put up with this rude service. This really made our view on Deano’s very disappointing and ruined our day. We will not be stepping foot in Deano’s Bar Grill again!!
Decided to take my husband out for dinner as a treat. The prices for the meals were about what I would expect to pay for a main $30 average. The quality is a totally different thing again.I ordered the Fish of the night with Steamed Vege and Potatoe.Sorry guys but it really was a meal suitable for a group of Geriatrics. Sloppy mashed spud, one piece of very soft pumpkin, one piece of Cauliflower and one piece of Broccoli. If my meal looked ANYTHING like the meal portrayed in the photograph (picture 2) I would have absolutely NO complaints at all.My husband ordered the Eye fillet steak which was very good BUT again the vegetables were a joke and thats putting it mildly. Will not be returning and certainly will not recommend this eatery to anyone we know.
We had heard good things about Deano’s but after reading the reviews below were apprehensive about eating there. My husband and I had decided to give it a go and were really pleased we did. The service was great, nice friendly staff and very helpful. The food was good and plenty of it.We really like the atmosphere and would really recommend it to anyone looking for a nice family pub/restaurant. It will definitely become our local!!Karen and Pete
You would think a steak house could cook a medium rare steak. Steak overcooked, lamb shank was beautiful. The air temp was cold & uncomfortable
