My wife and I had the duck and the venison. The duck came with a plum sauce and was the tastiest and single most scrumptious meal my wife ever consumed. The venison was perfectly cooked and quite handsome. We would recommend this to absolutely anybody.
Dinner at Fan-Tan was actually an amazing experience. The food there was pretty unique and so delicious! We ended up with two entrees, one of them was 3 soft bao buns with fried white bait, slaw, green chili mayo and the other was 3 small fried wonton nori dumplings (the filings were wrapped in seaweed and then fried, with salmon on top) both of these were new dishes to us. They were beautifully made but not the most filing so we were a bit worried about the size of the mains, but the mains ended up being quite generously sized that we could barely finish! We ordered Sesame Sticky Pork Ribs with Gochuyang Glaze as well as some Chinese styled lamb dish. Both were absolutely divine, the pork was not dry at all, it was soft and went very well with the sweet and salty Korean sauce! I did find that it can be a bit too much to eat all the pork ribs by themselves though, and I found myself greatful for the stir fried long beans, asparagus, onion, beansprout etc. In the lamb stir fry. I was also pleasantly surprised at the lamb dish, I’ve had many stir frys before yet this felt different. The lamb were delicious tender flavourful cubes and we got a bowl of rice which went very well with the sauce from the stir fry (we literally tipped the bowl onto the plate to let it suck up the juice). Although I think it can be a bit too salty if you have it without rice. They also have an extensive drink menu which had some nice interesting drinks. We got there on a Sunday at 5:30 and the place wasn’t very busy and we got a corner all to ourselves. The decor, atmosphere, music and waitors all added to our experience. The waitor was very attentive and made sure to check in on us throughout our meal. So, overall, I feel like dining here is well worth it!!
Really good food, comparable to Mr.Miyagi in Melbourne in its style and quality. Price was very reasonable for quantity and quality. Dont have many photos because we ate too fast
