Had a great time the last 3 times my family and I have been there, We enjoyed a beautiful buffet meal that I understand they are going to start up every first sunday in the month. We have enjoyed every meal and our time at this club, recommend to all to try it out, staff are wonderful in restaurant and bar and nothing is any trouble for them.. Try it out
I have had several meals at the Wanganui Cosmopolitan Club Restaurant in the recent months. It is now under new management and since then there has been a huge improvement overall. The menu has more variety with extra options of G.F. The meals are delicous and very well priced. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend if you are in Wanganui to visit this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.
We dined at the Cossie Club Restuarant in Wanganui on Tuesday evening the 26th April 2011. The Roast Meals were okay as were the Paua Fritter and Shrimp entrees but the Scotch Fillet steaks were very disappointing. The steak was more like Schnitzel in terms of thickness and not good value for money at $22. The chips were soggy and the meal served with coleslaw was very basic and more like a $10 Steak meal at other comparable establishments. I much prefer a self service Salad / Vegetable bar.
After having dinner at the cossie club on saturday night we were very pleased. I ordered the chicken with ricole sauce and it was lovely and tender. My husband ordered the roast meal which was also well cooked and tasty. The restaurant was full and busy and we appreciated being informed of a short wait before we ordered. Overall the service was great and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Well done to the new cook!
