I’m a non oil vegan and rang up at short notice. For the first time I was offered 3 options, I choice the pasta which was excellent, perfectly seasoned. My wife had a chicken dish & chocolate silk cake dessert which we she also enjoyed. Nice to have a chef who will go the second mile. Also very pleasant waitress.
A group of ten attended a lunch to celebrate our grandmothers 93rd birthday. We were greeted warmly by a friendly waitress who showed us to our table, she promptly took our drinks order and they arrived soon after, then our meal order was taken, we were all pleasantly surprised at a mere 20min wait as the cafe was full. I had the salmon crepes off the new lunch menu – they were delish! Every one else really enjoyed there meals also, the meals were followed by cake and coffee. Over all our service and food were fantastic and we will defiantly be back.
I have been for dinner on several occasions and have found our food to be of grate quality and the service from the staff who are always friendly and very helpful to be outstanding on every visit. I am quite fussy with what I eat and the way my food is prepared. My wife is a diabetic and the staff have made sure her meals are prepared to her needs. We shall continue to come for tea on a monthly basis and enjoy our night with a friendly team and grate food. Thanks guys you rock
After booking 4 four adults and 2 children before hand our eating experience was extremely poor. Our meals were below standard with the scrambled eggs cold and black and bacon burnt. We waited over an hour and a half and one meal was missing. The staff did not inform us and did not give updates I had to ask and were told oh !they forgot yours.I had to ask if it was coming and was told they know about it but don’t worry I told them not to put it on the slate!!! I then asked but were is it? is it coming.? The waitress said, I told them and walked off. It came 20min after the others. I would never take guests back. This is unacceptable treatment.
I’ve been to this place a few times in the last few months. The staff are friendly and it has a lovely atmosphere. I want it to be good! But the coffee just doesn’t cut it. And the muffins could be a lot better.
We recently celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at Essence Cafe, and we all had a lovely time. The service was fantastic, nothing was a problem, even the few guests with special dietary needs were catered to with ease. We enjoyed the new carpet and blinds- very warm and cozy. Will definitely be back.
Lovely, spacious cafe. Easy to find, bright and clean with lovely food. Had breakfast here with my family and we all enjoyed our ‘big breakfast’. Good coffee and great friendly service. Would recommend.
