Food was over priced. Steak had no flavor, full of gristle, not cooked to request. Service was terrible with a waitress reaching over us to get a wine list during our meal, while saying ‘you won’t be needing this’ and taking it. The worst meal we have ever had and we will never be back.
Went for lunch with work mates today ordered the seafood special which co was lovely! Even though the wait staff seemed under pressure they were still able to serve us with a smile. Had great coffees afterwards. Will definatly return!
Today my husband, daughter, partner and children had lunch at First. All meals were very disappointing. My daughter asked for a steak sandwich which was supposed to be ribeye steak. It was clearly not ribeye steak, more like snitzel. When she complained the manager argued with her loundly in the middle of the restaurant. This was unnecessary and embarrrasing to us and other diners. This is the second poor meal we have had from this restaurant and two at First means there won’t be a third. Wait staff very pleasant.
I thought the service was very poor. We waited an hour and a half for our main course even after having a entree, they offered us a complimentary drink for the wait on our mains, three other tables that had arrived had also ordered well and truly after we had, an received there meals before we had. Two waitress had told us just before seven that our meals won’t be far away and at 730 we still hadn’t had our mains. so we walked out, will never be returning back here again!!!
Well I don’t no We ear out often and these reviews surprise us. We both had enjoyable meals here.Mine in particular (although the venison was medium instead of M R)was very tasty and original. Service was friendlyand professional
my work went here for our wee leaving thing. the service was poor as.we asked for drinks and didnt get them for bout twenty mins.then wen we asked for refills the same again for everyone they forgot half of them and we had to go back up to the counter and ask.and when they bought us new drinks they failed to take away the emptys and our small table was crowded and messy.they also didnt take away any plates until we asked them.they werent busy in the restaurant at all and wen we went to pay we mentioned something and they claimed to be doing a stock take!??! in the middle of the day,youd think they would do it in the morning or something? was very poor service, not going to be returning
I called into First last Sunday afternoon to order 2 takeaway hot drinks and I was not impressed by the service. They were not busy at the time, there were 2 staff at the counter and a girl popping in and out of the kitchen to the counter. After my order was taken I waited at the counter for 10-15 minutes assuming they were onto my order. The kitchen girl eventually asked me if she could help, I said I was waiting for my order, the woman who served me and had been at the counter most of the time I was waiting, then picked my order up out of a puddle of water on the counter and finally my drinks were made. The woman making my drinks knew I was pissed off and added extra marshmellows into my hot chocolate, however that wasn’t enough to sweeten me up, I won’t be returning. Very disappointing.
