Never have I been to a restaurant which charges such steep prices for essentially inedible food. This is one of the worst meals we have ever had, both in terms of the meal itself, and the service. Normally I start off giving a restaurant the benefit of the doubt, but as the night progresses, I could not believe how terrible the food and service were. The service was amongst the worst I have ever experienced. The main waiter was totally out of his depth – he explained to us that he was new, and yet he seemed to be in charge of everything. He got our order incorrect multiple times, we had to very slowly and deliberately tell him what we wanted – and repeatedly, as he frequently forgot everything. His apparent supervisor was nowhere to be seen and we felt sorry for him and the two other waitresses who were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. The starters were promising, and I thought the food may be the redeeming factor for this place – but as we got to the main courses, we were appalled at their quality. The dahl was so unbelievably bland, I gave up after a few bites – what an insult to Indian cuisine. The real disaster, however, was the lamb, which was so over-cooked to the point where it seemed as though it had been reheated; it was almost unrecognisable as lamb. I noticed every single one of the other patrons around me had issues with the waitstaff or food throughout the night too. I have eaten all over America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and this will go down as the worst restaurant I have ever been too. I could not recommend steering clear of this restaurant enough.
Lovely experience. Small and intimate. Staff were lovely, right there when needed but also not in your face constantly. Food was delicious and came out timely. View brilliant too.
We were staying at the hotel so ate breakfast here every morning and had dinner one night. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Dinner was excellent. The food was innovative, well prepared and well presented. The service was really good from a young Irish waitress with a trainee in tow. The atmosphere was great and in the daytime the view across the lake is stunning.
True South Dining Experience. Impeccable service, delicious produce and a magic experience you won’t soon forget. Executive Chef Ben Batterbury creates a delicious delicate menu which is a visual (and extremely palatable) feast.Compliments also must go to the front of house ‘Mark’ who was so welcoming and attentive.5 stars and would highly recommend.
This restaurant in service and cuisine was flawless. Was decided by all of us the finest we have experienced in dining. I’m a lover of seafood and every mouthful was sublime. Every dish was immaculately presented and infused in flavours that were unique and memorable.Love that the chef sources wild and local organic produce.
