We were recommended this venue for lunch while we were in the area for a wine weekend. Nice facilities & the food was excellent but the service was terrible – young girls who did not know the menu, could not answer basic questions and could not even get the order right. We waited an age for our drinks and they forgot one of the main courses & it did not arrive until 15 mins after the others. Utterly ridiculous. A shame really as everyone loved the food. The lamb ravioli in particular was outstanding but the best food in the world is utterly ruined by bad service.

Service was good, actually really good, but i go out to eat, to be treated well i have my husband, my friends and my family.. so going back to the food, tasteless, looked incredibly pretty but is good only for a picture, looked like one of those terrible cooking shows when angry people is trying to cook.. may be look good, but it is impossible to cook a good tasty meal if you are not in a good mood, as basic as that, so please take your time relax and be happy before cooking otherwise your negativity goes to the dish that you are cooking, i understand that the chef won some sort of competition, i wonder how, honestly food was a waste of time nothing that i will remember, just not good at all

Each time we have visited the Hawkes Bay, it has included a visit to Te Awa Farm. This most recent time was simply the best. Taking up their special offer of two courses and a glass of wine for ONLY $39.50 a head, we embarked on a taste adventure.Their Seven Spice Pork Belly was simply the very best pork belly we have ever eaten. We’d give it an 11 out of 10!!!Our entrees were gorgeous and the pinotage exceptional. Te Awa deserves its place as one of the great vineyard restaurants of NZ.
