Colosseum is a little bit out of gisborne next to the SPCA. We were four people and we wanted the absolutely fresh fish. How did we know? You can see directly what is going on in the kitchen because it is open. The fish, the asparagus, the spinach was absolutely perfect. The wine was great and the gisborne gold is outstanding as well as the cider. Gret evening, great food, great ambience. We all enjoyed it! Thanks guys! We’ll be back.
We had my mother’s 60th birthday lunch at the Colosseum and a fantastic time was had by all. Mark and the staff were very friendly and easy to deal with and they were able to cater to our needs with no troubles at all. They don’t normally do buffet lunches but when I told them our requirements, they assured me that there would be no problems and that’s exactly what we got (or didn’t get as the case maybe) – a trouble free experience! The food was excellent, the staff were friendly, courteous and very efficient, and this wonderful venue provided the perfect atmosphere to celebrate a family occasion. Many, many thanks to Mark and the staff from Colosseum for the fantastic venue, service and food. I cannot rave about them enough and would have no hesitation in recommending this location for a special family event.
