We stopped at the tavern for some lunch while we were driving from wellington to tongario national park. Welcoming bartender and excellent lunch. Definitly would stop here again when travelling around new zealand.
The Apiti Tavern & café is a wonderful place to stop for a chat to the locals while eating very good home cooked food.Highly recommended for their very friendly service and warm welcome.
Gorgeous country pub with delicious food. Homemade pizza bases. Light and delicious. I never have pizza when I’m out but it was too tempting and absolutely worth it!
After a nice motorcycle ride up the Pohangina East road we stopped for a bit of r&r before the return visit. Good selection of home cooked food and drinks makes this a worthwhile stop for a break. Have camping ground facilities too.
Really enjoyed chatting to the owner. Awesome laid back country pub. Stopped in for a drink while it was outing down and ending up ordering lunch after seeing other people’s food. Yum.
Burgers cooked with loved.Wedges are devine. Service with a smile. We will always bring our friends for a meal when we come to Apiti.Thank you.
