I absolute loved the surroundings at the Bridge Café, and the fact that pooches are welcome 🙂 I was a little underwhelmed with the food though. The staff were friendly and the coffee was pretty good though, so we will definitely call in again to soak up the sun in this stunning little spot.
A hidden gem. I have passed by the sign indicating this cafe for years and never gone in, so made an effort to visit with a friend. Wonderful surroundings – so relaxing. Great place for kids. Also a very pleasant walking track to the play area by the bridge. The only minus was that my friend was given a hot food item without a fork and it was way too hot to eat with hands. She waited for ages to let it cool a bit. During that time we were still waiting for an iced coffee. The place wasn’t busy so I was surprised at the length of time it took. The place was closing with staff leaving and we still hadn’t got the coffee. It came eventually when everything else had been consumed and I was already ready to leave.Having said that, I would definitely go back. Worth a visit.
This has got to be my favourite place for a lovely relaxed coffee and meal. The setting here is just fantastic, with warm and freindly staff, and superb food.Sitting in the sun, listening and watch the lovely birdlife, chatting with friendly staff, and enjoying their fantastic food, makes it rather hard to leave!!If out there on a friday evening their wood fire pizzas are just great!, extremly tastie, and very well priced. Friday night pizzas are a favourite with many of the locals, a very relaxed friendly atmosphere, and a great way to finish off the week. Even with the gorge closed, its well worth taking the time to visit the Bridge Cafe, and Im sure you will make it a regular place to stop and enjoy their food and lovely setting after being there once. Excellent work Bridge Cafe keep it up!!
I was heading out there then a bus broke down on the Saddle Road , could not get there so went back to Palmy . Hard to get to . Gorge shut , Saddle Road shut .
Since the Gorge closure it is not open often . I think the place has lost its get up and go and is reflected in the food.
