Six of us dined on Wednesday which was the first night of the new menu. One of the interesting dishes was a rabbit loin coated with a liquorice dust. It was apparently fabulous. I had slow roasted pork belly with grilled scallops. We had a nice long diner and only one had desert, unfortunately he declared it delishis which meant the other 5 had to test it out. It was fantastic in all regards and we will return again soon. Can readily recommend for anyone looking for great food.
really pleased to find somewhere of this quality to eat in Hawera – the only one anywhere near as good that we could locate. Open for breakfast through to late dinners, we ate during the day, outdoors in the garden. Great cabinet food, and the coffee was fine.
After being told about Black & White by a colleague, I gave it a go (having ignored it based on the previous business in the same premises).The service was perfect – no pressure, but no great delays, the staff pleasant, and their knowledge of the menu was perfect.The food is undoubtedly the finest in Hawera. In fact, it would compete with many restaurants in larger centres. Our meals were very tasty, reasonably sized portions, and very competitively priced.If you are in Hawera and looking for quality dining, you can’t go past B&W.
