I have been to Bubbles twice lately. Once with my girlfriends on a Friday after work and once with my partner. The girls and I enjoyed cocktails and had a big platter of yummy stuff and a couple of pizzas. It was a great night! My partner and I had a really nice date night here too. I had the salmon, which was absolutely delicious and he had the steak. I think this is a really nice place to come with friends and for date night. Good service and atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back.
We booked for a special event were given a fixed price per person for food and drink which we were assured would be all we would pay, after two hours we were told no more drinks and we now needed to pay $250 on top of what we had already paid to stay? We had the champagne room and were told on booking we would have our own bar person and the ability to play our iPod never of these things eventuated after complaining we were told by the Esther obnoxious owner we would be kicked out if we complained again, shame the management is so terrible as the waitresses cocktails and food were reasonably good.
This was my third time at bubbles and as always the service and food was fantastic! Had 3 courses and could not fault anything on the plate. The other 5 ladies I was with said the same. Great value for money compared to some other restaurants in town. We will definitely be going back again.
Signed up to write this review. Went to Bubbles last night for a few drinks & something to eat before the Pink Floyd Experience show. Despite being very busy they seated us fast, took our orders & the food arrived in plenty of time to get to the show. The service was great. Josh & his staff were friendly and very helpful when we asked for wine & food recommendations. Have eaten here before and as always food, drinks & service is some of the best I have experienced.Would recommend to anyone. To save being disappointed it probably is a good idea to make a booking. We were very lucky we got in with the show on at the Regent everyone seemed to be out looking for somewhere to go before the show.thanks Bubbles
We had vouchers so this meant we got a different menu. I ordered the salmon, which I now regret. The miniscule amount of salmon was encased in pastry and was very salty. Accompanying that was lettuce leaves, a tiny blob of feta and four olives. Dessert was a choice of raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake or chocolate brownie. As I don’t like white chocolate, I chose the brownie. It was very dry and dense. I was not impressed with the food at all. The service was good, although we were sat near the kitchen and heard swearing.
We had purchased vouchers for half price meals, when we arrived they were very busy but seated us quickly, right next to two other couples – some space wouldve been nice! We were told meals would b quite a wait as they were busy so we ordered a garlic bread and drinks, garlic pizza arrived and was nice, our mains took alot longer to arrive and were very disappointing when we did get them, we both ordered steak medium-well which was in fact well past welldone and very dry, the cut was fatty and I definately couldve cooked better myself, came with two beans, two carrots and a handful of potato cubes, we then waited 20 minutes for dessert which was disgusting!! Choc brownie was dry and the cheesecake was like rubber and we couldnt force ourselves to eat it, the best part was the ice cream, all in all we were there 1 and a half hrs for a terrible meal and left hungry, will def not go back!
