The food was neither good nor bad however the steak I got was below average. Great service but pricey food. I think a 3 is fair.The sirloin is fatty. Looking at the other tables it looks like I was unlucky. It shouldn’t be luck of the draw to get quality meat especially at the price tag. Image attached doesn’t show the fatty side but gives an idea (Right outer circumference of the meat).I have nothing bad to say about the other dishes but it wasn’t ‘wow’ either. I guess the rating others give is relative to what other restaurants are in the area – none.Overall an average experience. Would be lower if I hadn’t taken into account the lack of restaurants in the proximity.
It was a cold evening and due to indoor/outdoor arrangement we thought it would be a little chilly but the waiter sat us at a table close to a heater and all was ok. The focaccia bread starter was great, as was the pork belly, chicken and sticky date pudding – generous portions and friendly staff made for an enjoyable evening. A little over priced but would definitely go back.
We have always enjoyed Schnappa Rock, not only for the relaxed ambiance, but for their coffees and food. Lately we enjoyed a starter of Mussels & Raw fish, which was delicious. For mains we had Pork Belly and Fish of the day, finished with a cheesecake for dessert. The service is always friendly and prompt. The wine choice was spot on. Cheers Guys.
