Speights Ale House has become quite a favourite with my fellow student friends on a thursday morning. We have been three times for their breakfast menu. Very good value for the food. THe bacon and egg bun i like to order is only $13 and fills me up till tea. However if you order drinks the price can rise quickly. The service is always lovely and after we have finished eating and the books come out the staff are very patient and never make us feel like we need to leave quickly.

Well done team. Just finished a very tasty pork belly, exquisitely cooked with a perfect balance of delectable flavours and crackling done to perfection. Yum. Apparently I need at least 200 words to submit a review & am a few short. Hope this is enough?
Ah Speights, you make my weekend. This was our 4th or 5th visit since you opened, and I just cannot get enough. Today we sampled the lunch menu – ‘Blues’ burgers. Outstanding service for what appeared to be a reasonably busy Sunday, we got our food and drinks promptly with a cheery smile. The meal was so delicious and more-ish; I managed to finish my burger but couldn’t finish the chips – those bowls are deceptively large!! Please thank your staff, it’s so nice to finally have a place in Blenheim that serves great food with a smile and for a reasonable price. Other restaurateurs here could definitely learn a few things about quality food and service. I love sitting outside with a cold beverage, was as enjoyable today with our meal as it was last week when we popped in for just for one. Might I also add that this is the most annoying website for adding reviews! My original raver for 3rd night in has been overwritten, but all I will say is it was fantastic & we love coming here.
