Lovely staff, wonderful food, realistic pricing. It wasn’t a busy night so we stayed for around 3 hours, just as pleasant a place to sit and chat with drinks and pass time with good company as well as enjoy beautiful food.I will definitely be returning.

We’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, and so glad we did.We were greeted with smiles and quickly seated. The menu has a good variety of items and the wine list is well chosen. We started with the seaweed salad- very good and the veggie tempura – a lot of food for $7.00. We then moved onto the sushi/sashimi platter – 17 pieces and very fresh and tasty. We then shared a rainbow roll- a generously sized roll and tasty, but a bit too much rice for my liking.I had the Martinborough vineyards riesling – very good and my husband had the Wither hills chardonnay. I like how they present the bottle to you before they pour so you can actually see that you’re getting what you ordered – nice. The waitress was attentive but not imposing. The atmosphere is simple and clean.Overall very good food and very fairly priced. We’ll be back

Went with a big group to have dinner here at the 28/11/12. Really nice place and very friendly staff. We tried a bit of everything and the food was absolutely delicious. I can really recommend this place.

went to Masa’s with two friends tonight (30 November 2012) it was a delightful evening from the time we walked in the door. The service and food were first class it was well presented and full of flavour it would have to be the most enjoyable dinner I have had for a long time. Well done to all involved will be back again soon.

We went to Masas in Hardy Street, Nelson 29/11/12. From the moment we walked in to when we left we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food was fresh, colourful, well presented and flavoursome. The waitresses where attentive, informative and delightful. They catered for us outside the menu with no effort at all by providing us with a selection of entrees. The decor was unobtrusive and very nice. The price was very reasonable. Cannot wait to go back.
