There is no one in the cafe business nicer than Paula. She gets 3 stars on her own. I tried out a thai chicken pie a while ago which was very tasty but was not properly complimented by the salad and it’s dressing. I would go more often but the menu is/has been a bit overloaded with bready food/ pastries etc – at least for the more affordable end of the menu. However I notice she has undergone a recent makeover of the menu and has even done a special evening meal opening that coincided with late night shopping. I wish her well.

I was quite disappointed by my first visit. Noisy, too much sweet food. Have been a couple of times since, but was much the same. How’ve not been back for about 4 months so hope it has got through the early hiccups.

Thank you for a wonderful cafe experience. You turned an everyday cafe lunch of a BLAT into something unique and utterly delicious. The meal and coffee were delivered to the table in a timely fashion. Presentation was beautiful, the side salad was plentiful and had a point of difference, and the tastes were superb. My 4 year old daughter was very excited to see her blueberry griddle cakes and ate them with gusto, and the specialty children’s platter option looked varied, healthy and yummy.Coffee was excellent, as was the fluffy. Staff were friendly, helpful and patient. Surroundings felt fresh, clean and modern. This place is fantastic!

Visited Paula’s Plate in the afternoon at 2pm. Was really disappointed, we went for a cup of coffee and something to eat, something sweet and there was nothing at all sweet on offer in the cabinet. We ordered our drinks and mine being a smoothie which was quite nice and my friend a flat white. The person that took the order forgot the flat white and my friend had to remind her. Very limited menu on offer also all in all we were extremely disappointed and have decided we wont be back. There definitely needs to be more food on offer.

I do hope you are a success. May I suggest you supply some savoury food for morning teas. I came in for morning tea with 3 others and could only see sweet. Perhaps lovely savoury scones, or such. I am a diabetic but my friends are not. Afternoon tea is OK with sweet but most looking for savoury in the morning I would imagine. A choice would be nice. The noise was deafening. After enquiries thinking it was coffee being ground, found it was a cake making machine. Hope you can do that perhaps earlier before opening to enable people to talk. You have a lot of staff, but my coffee came when others had just about finished theirs. realise you are feeling your way and hope this is constructive advice. I will try again.
