It was a nostalgic delight coming across a Robert Harris after the one in Lower Hutt shut down. My fianc and I head over after the markets in need of some decent breakfast. My particular requirements can make eating out difficult for all so I was pleasantly suprised to see they have almond milk here and gluten free bread. I ordered an almond cap and the better half a normal mocha. It was poached eggs on gluten toast for me and a nice simple bacon butty for him. The coffees were beautifully presented and just as lovely as we remembered. My fussy man had no complaints about his coffee. The best he’s had out in ages and he hates buying coffees lol. Same for the bacon butty. Eggs were lovely meal well presented. The toast was even expertly patterned by the press. Customer service was lovely and very attentive. Despite busy periods the staff remained customer focused. Hutt city could learn a lot from these guys. The only fault I’d have is the prices seem a bit high. However we had a great experience so this hasn’t tanted our overall review. Thanks for having us!!
Stopped in for a coffee to go and noticed the inviting selection of lunch goodies and cakes on display. Everything looked tasty but I couldn’t manage a second lunch. The latte was good but just a bit too hot to drink right away.
This is the only place I’ve been in my travels to Nelson. The first time I was here the staff searched their menu board for something lactose free for me. Since they went over and above to find something, I will always be back. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious
