Will never return, very rude. My partner and I called in to order food and drinks, I was in the process of finishing my tank juice but was asked to leave as I was not allowed to have my tank juice in there. I told her I will be ordering a drink (and food) from her and there was a little bit left – but she did not accept that and asked me too leave. We happily got up and left, would rather spend our money elsewhere 🙂
Came here with a friends on a busy afternoon and ordered the sweet potato cakes and they were absolutely glorious! They were absolutely delicious and I didnt feel heavy after wards They chai lattes are also very delicious
Had breakfast here after the Nelson Saturday market. This place was average. The Service was actually not too bad compared to the previous reviews. Staff did acknowledge you and did say goodbye when we left. However I did have to go and ask for Menus. The Food was terrible. Bacon was rubbery and everything tasted bland. We didn’t finish the food and the bread was a bit soggy. Meals were a bit small in size as well. The coffee was actually good and we just got here from Wellington so thats a biggie! The cafe setting was your average cafe, with both seating inside and outside.Overall I probably would not return here. A bit of a shame as the cafe has the potential given the location.FYI if you need a cafe with a restroom, I dont think they had one (i did not ask for one either so could be a hidden one somewhere).
Terrible terrible cafe. Easily the worst I have eaten in, and I have frequented many a cafe. Service was non-existent, and the food was terrible quality. Got a filled bagel and my rubbery bacon tasted off and had hair on it… PIGS hair that was still attached to the pig even after they cooked it. I left most of my meal on the plate as I just couldn’t stomach it and went up to the counter to tell them that I thought the meat was off. They didn’t even look at me and said I was wrong. Left the place $12.00 poorer and still hungry. Do not go here.
Terrible service! What a joke of a cafe. My partner and I came in with my mother and father in law to sit with them while they were having a coffee and cake. My partner and I had a tank juice in our hands but thought since we were ABOUT to order food and were sitting with two paying customers it wouldn’t be an issue. Only to be told about 2minutes of being in the ‘cafe’, we were to leave as only food purchased there could be consumed there. What complete idiotic behaviour on the waitresses part. Especially because we were about to buy food there. What a joke!
Probably the worst place I’ve eaten at all year. At a relatively steady looking lunch time on Boxing Day you’d expected a little festive cheer, the odd Santa hat maybe? This place doesn’t even give you a hello. The blonde chick on the counter wearing glasses actively ignored me and rudely continued to keep her head down in a bid to avoid having to serve me. The food was very average. The coffee was terrible and the entire experience was ABYSMAL. For anybody considering dining here I would thoroughly recommend recondsidering.
Like previous reviews, the service is non existent and the staff are merely there to do a job and nothing else. No hellos or anything to make you feel welcome. It took over 20 minutes to toast 2 paninis and it wasn’t even busy. The chicken cranberry brie panini had barely any chicken in it and I tasted cranberry in about 3 bites of the whole thing.
