Peaceful relaxing atmosphere. Awesome vegan, GF options great tasting. It’s the service and atmosphere that remind you what holidays are for and what life should be about. This is the ultimate break from the rat race.
Great art, great vibe, awesome fresh fish and chips. The kumara chips were great, as were the homemade sauces.

IT was good food but the chef had art on the table and talked the whole time.It was kind of hard to enjoy because of that.
The Mad Cafe was a lovely guirky place, food & art everywhere. Friendly staff. Lovely fish & kumara chips, & fried donut for tea. Also had several coffees while staying here – they were fabulous. Would certainly recommend.
Looked alright through the glass window and with the additional outdoor area. Unfortunately it was closed in the middle of the afternoon. Not sure why as there were staff inside lurking about.
Stopped in for a late breakfast, was very impressed! Get the eggs!! Good food and great staff well worth a stop.
