This is a lovely, rustic place with some fresh food and really accommodating service. The staff were happy for us to switch tables when we got there and also gave us time to wander around the gardens with no pressure to rush us out of there. If you get a chance, pick a seat on the lawn outside or under the amazing tree canopy next to the bar. The wine selection was great too – they were happy for us to do a tasting while we waited for our food to arrive. We were impressed by the food all around – the rye bread with the dukkah, the fennel risotto, the asian noodle salad, the lamb burger, the berry eton mess – all delicious, seasonally fresh and well made. Our entire group enjoyed the experience and we will definitely make it back in the future.

Amazing place. Food and wine stunning, even had local craft beers on tap!Friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the wines and the menu.I had the chicken salad which had a lovely refreshing tamarind dressing.

arrived at saturday lunch to find 6 other diners already seated – ordered fish of day x 2 but were later told monkfish now off menu as earlier table had ordered 3 – are they serious ? – breads/dips very good – tried lamb burger with beetroot relish & salad – both agreed very good – kids had a fish & chips (disappointing portion of fish/plenty of chips) & a chicken salad which was impressive – the serve staff were very pleasant & enthusiastic but the wait time bordering ridiculous given the place not particularly busy – its an appealing venue with a few flaws to iron out
