As everyone on here has said a great restaurant and bar and Vic the host made it a pleasure to spend time there but Vic has gone to do other things and the bar taken over and now a Thai.
Steve has managed to establish an excellent menu at Arthur Wakefield. Lamb Burger is highly recommended. Despite being a carnivore, the vegetarian pizza was great.
I attended this resturant recently with friends. I was expecting a nice warm lunch on a cold day and was disappointed. The bangers and mash was bland and would have been nicer if it wasn’t served in a pudding bowl. The roast meal was nice.
Friendly landlord with an excellent range of ales and beers. Limited menu of good quality pub grub well presented and adequate portions
