Very overpriced for what you get – blah food with lots of mistakes. Vegan breakfast cane with dairy butter on the toast, replacement toast took ages to come out so my food was cold by the time I had my bread (which didn’t have a dairy free butter option so was dry and also under toasted). Beans were made with tinned tomatoes and had no flavour, hash browns taste like nothing and are soaked in oil. Also it is just the vegetarian breakfast without the eggs but for the same price. Eggs benedict came with under-cooked eggs, replacement egg had no hollandaise or bread and was still undercooked. Seriously unimpressed, the staff don’t really seem to know what’s going on or care that much. It is peak tourist season, step up your game and stop making Tasman look bad!
This place is such a vibe. Laid back, chilled, relaxed… and most importantly, amazing food. The organic beef pizza and salmon salad were simply delicious. They did take a while to come out (40 mins) but were definitely worth the wait. Staff were friendly and the interior had an amazing sense of place. Would 100% recommend this place to others.
Visited Dangerous for the first time as me and the bf went on the search for breakfast. This place has quite a cool feel to it with plenty of seating choices. They had run out of a few ingredients but none that really caused immense grief to either of us. I ordered the eggs on toast with guacamole and a pot of tea and he got the pancakes with bacon and a mocha. We headed out the back to the outdoor seating and the food and drinks didn’t take long to arrive. When they did the sight of how small his pancakes were was quite shocking, three small pancakes (the size of pikelets if that) with three small strips of bacon and a small dish of blueberries and cream (the menu said banana). My bf also said it was the worst mocha he’d ever had and had to have a cup of tea to wash it down. Mine was fine but I left hungry.
This cafe has a wonderful relaxed and laid back atmosphere and serves good food and beverages . Earl Grey tea in a nice big pot was particularly good . A few too many flies let the place down but would definitely go there again .
The atmosphere and the decor are excellent, however after 1 hour waiting for my food I complained to the waitress. Then she went into the kitchen and came back with the food at last. I felt like that they had forgotten me.The service was horrible. The food was not really special but it was ok.I wouldn’t recommend it.
Wonderful laid back place with the best pizzas ever. Every time we’re there we get one each, eat half and take half away. I send everyone who goes to Takaka there for their salmon pizzas. Lovely staff and a great place to take kids as they are very welcoming.
A simply excellent cafe. I would walk over hot coals to get to one of their chicken burrito’s with the homemade hot chilli sauce. They cater for the eating habits of all types of diners so you can be sure of finding something that suits your tastes.
