Three of us popped in for lunch on Labour Day. Not a bad wee place but the food was remarkably average – a wrap needs more than a single slice of ham in it to make it a ham salad wrap: what I got was a lettuce wrap with a sliver of tasteless pink offal in it. Disappointing, to say the least. Another in our party got a chicken wrap with another quarter of the same lettuce leaf and two lumps of desiccated chicken breast: obviously mayo costs a fortune in Wakefield because there was no more than trace elements of it in both wraps. The third member of our party was happy with her biscuit.Service wasn’t totally dreadful but the poor young lad charged with delivering the goods to the table was totally shot away – 3 mile stare, pants at half mast and totally disconnected. Must have had a great night out on Sunday!
