The Chai Tea House has been a highlight of my regular visits to the Coromandel Peninsula over the last two years. Over that time I have observed the development of the space, menu and staff and I highly commend all of those who have had a part in creating the wholesome environment which I have come to enjoy so much.The pleasant setting creates an ambiance that not only welcomes but also encourages a sense of relaxation and homeliness. The feeling is emphasized by the home made recipes that fill the menu and compliment my needs of wheat, dairy and soy free ingredients.Some days it is a treat to see a familiar face behind the counter, but I take even greater pleasure in meeting the continual flux of international staff that bring unique qualities and stimulating conversations.I am looking forward to my next visit and opportunity to have a fresh juice and slice of cake! For those visiting the Peninsula I highly recommend that you pop in to see for your self 🙂
I have been around Coromandel for a long time, and had the opportunity to go to the Chai Tea House many times. I always felt welcome, was surrounded by nice stuff and customers and could enjoy good and healthy food: Good organic coffee and teas, I really like the fresh juices and home-made cakes. I also came for lunch a few times and have never been disappointed. The prices are fair for what it is. I highly recommend this place for everybody who likes to be in a cozy and friendly environment while having a good coffee or snack! Good on you guys!

A fantastic place to hang out, great organic food and nice friendly staff. Lots of international travellors seem to stop over here, but also some regular locals. I recommend to try their homemade Kombucha beer, made with lots of ginger, the best I have ever tasted.
