The food is absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing and hygienic. I especially enjoy the special bar drinks, Appetizing entree, flavorsome curries with delightful Garlic naan(yummiest!!!!). Must try restaurant in and around Hamilton. Both the chef and the staffs are very friendly and approachable. Worth every penny spent!

We have been buying curries from Mr Kumar and his team every Thursday night for a year. Its become a ritual to order a curry, their delicious garlic naan and poppadums and have a drink at the tdo while we wait. It never takes more than 15 mins, the portions are always generous and every time it is just delicious! They clearly run a thriving take away business, I wonder if maybe they shouldn’t bother with the dine in experience as some reviewers agree the take away take priority when they’re busy
Ordered takeaway from here for dinner Friday night. Ordered chicken korma, mild, and butter chicken, medium. The korma was bland and had no flavour. The butter chicken was what I would describe as mild. There was barely any chicken in both the korma and the butter chicken. The rice was fluffy and delicious, but that was all that was nice about our meal.
What a bad experience here. We ordered three mains, entrees and naan for our son’s 13th birthday. It was ordered at 5.30pm and we were told it would be 40 mins to an hour. At 6.20pm we went down to get our food and it wasn’t ready. Another 40 mins later it still was not ready. At nearly 1 3/4 hours later it was handed over to us and one of the mains and the naan was missing. They hadn’t made our missing main at all and then tried to tell us that their oven had broken down and they couldn’t do naan today at all. This should have been made clear right at the time of booking or during the extra nearly one hour we sat and waited in their shop for the takeaway order. They obviously could have told us this over the phone when we had ordered but still wanted the order so went ahead and did it half pie. They did not even apologise. The supposed tandoori chicken we ordered was also not even done in the tandoor oven and it tasted like rubbery chemically cooked chicken. It was obviously part of their broken oven problem resulting in them having to cook it a different way so not tasting like tandoor at all. After being really good customers for eight years we will never go back. We have discovered the South Indian place in the next block of shops over and it is superb. When you order it only has a 15-20 minute wait which is always correct and the people are very friendly.
Our family has been eating at New Delhi for years, we love the food so much we just about go every week. The food is always tasty and well cooked and excellent value for money with large. The owners are friendly and personable and treat us like family.I would definitely recommend New Delhi Restaurant, it is the best Indian restaurant in Dinsdale. Make sure you try their chicken korma, it is amazing!
