Best fish and chip shop in Hamilton !!! Food is incredibly tasty and despite always being busy staff are always friendly and wait time is never usually very long.Excellent value for money and portion sizes are bigger than your typical fish and chip shop.Highly recommend this place
Amazing fish and chips, probably the best in the Waikato. Crispy batter with no oily aftertaste, can really recommend the large snapper – $10 but huge chunk of fish that feeds two. Cheese and onion fritter was delicious. Not open on Mondays – doesn’t say online but hours are on the door.
What happened to Oxford St takeaways?? You used to be the best in Hamilton. Tonight it took forever to get our order and the fish don’t even look Legal. Such a shame.
Ordered crab sticks, squid rings, chicken burger and scoop of chips yesterday. The chicken burger was really nice for the price. Fresh and crisp patty with soft buns. Unfortunately that’s where the accolades end. Crab sticks were okay but squid rings were soggy. Chips were even soggier and extremely undercooked. Felt like I was chewing on raw potatoes.
Amazing fish and chips and burgers, especially the chips. Such lovely service, he always treats you like your the first and only customer even though it has been flat out and nearly an hour wait. Only con being if I haven’t thought to ring in early enough on a fri/sat night it’s an easy hr wait. Defently worth the wait if you have thought ahead.
Super fresh fish! This stuff is much much better than your average Chinese takeways! A bit of a long wait, but worth it! Will be back for more!
Probably one of the best fish and chip stores in Hamilton. The fish we ordered was fresh and cooked perfect, chips were yummy too! We were served by honest friendly people. The waiting time was a little bit long but worth the wait. I would recommend this place to everyone looking for a fish and chip shop in Hamilton.
