Been here about 5 years ago. That was my brother’s wedding. It was so disappointed and never came back. We have been invited to a birthday party last week and the result was phenomenal. Great service, great food, everything is perfect. 5 stars from me!
We were on our way to Rotorua when we decided to pull over and have lunch at hamilton. Good thing we explored around and found this nice restaurant. This is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants that we’ve been to in NZ. All of our orders were great and have a different taste of each dish. We ordered the roast pork ( to die for), green beans with olives and chicken mince, fried wanton, and yangzhou fried rice. My favorite is definitely the roast pork it was well cooked and the taste is really so nice. Give this a try if you’re in the hamilton area! Highly recommended!
The best fresh crispy roast duck in Hamilton, half a roast duck takeaway, always satisfied my Chinese craving. Tried dine in a couple of times, other Cantonese dishes are pretty average, the satay beef (Hong Kong style) was not flavorful enough and had pieces of canned pineapple in it.
Beyond average. I ordered BBQ pork, roast pork and duck on rice. BBQ pork was ridiculously dry and everything was not even warm. Rice had no kind of sauce on it so cold dry meat with plain rice. Worst BBQ I’ve ever had. Accompanied by a strange bowl of soup which was kind of essential given the lack of sauce on the rice
Don’t know why the service was so bad. The Chinese male waiter was unfriendly and even a bit discriminate. While we set down, we have to get the water and cups by ourselves (while the non-Chinese guests get water and cups and hot soup from the same waiter). We wait for the meals about half a hour, that’s horrible. Never ever have such a badly experience like this. Hamilton is a great city except this restaurant.
We have booked by Zomato and just called to confirm, and it was ok. We ordered 4 plates, plus fried rice. Fast service, delicious plates. We brought 3 native Chinese students with us and the food was approved according to their Chinese taste, which make this experience even better. Staff were courteous and ready to answer any question. Surely, will come back anytime soon.
Simple cozy joint but probably our favourite chinese restaurant here in Hamilton. Staff are friendly but the only thing is restaurant opening times are a bit hit and miss so make you check in advance.
