I have visited Dora’s Cafe regularly over the past 12 months. Dora’s is a quaint bohemian cafe adjacent to WINTC. The coffee is easily the best in town and consistently so. The staff are friendly and interesting. The decore is classic little wooden round tables and large paintings on the walls by local artists. The food is excellent.
The people who said the staff are friendly must have been going somewhere different than me! They were pretty rude and came off elitist. The coffee was good, but they only seem to be nice to their buddies and pick on everyone else.

I recently went to Dora’s and ordered my usual coffee, just the way I like it (not too complicated, just half and half). I was then told by the barista that my choice of drink was disgusting and suggested something else! He then asked under his breath if I wanted 17 sugars, turned to his workmate and snickered as I sat in shock waiting for my coffee.Now I know the current barista has a good reputation in the Hamilton hospo industry for making delicious coffee, this review isn’t disputing that. He just seriously needs to sort his attitude out. It is MY hard earned $4.00 that is paying for this coffee. If I requested a shot of vinegar I would expect the barista to oblige as it is what I am ordering.I was excited when I saw the barista at Dora’s, now that I am a student in the central city I was going to make it my regular cafe. Not now. I am SO disappointed Dora’s.
