Had really good meals there. They are always generous portions so definately value for money. I really loved the milky bar pud it was really amazing best pudding Ive had. Only thing was it felt like they were rushing us out the door as they were closing up earlier then their closing time because it wasnt even 10pm yet but other then that no complaints.
Been 4 times. None of those times have we been overwhelmed with the food or service . Average . One time we were served extremely small mussels which was sad to see and couldn’t be enjoyed really. We were offered a 50 percent discount for a long wait and underwhelming meal which was reasonable as we had spent well over one hundred dollars .
I was looking for takeaways while staying in a hotel. I knew the lone star brand as I’ve been before in my city. I approached the counter and asked if they did takeaways. placed my order and waited by the bar.didn’t wait long when the waitress approached me with 3 containers all on top of each other. asked for a bag as my hotel was 1km away. I’m clumsy at the best of times! she told me they didn’t have any. I asked the manager who said I could use an uber eats bag. I then asked if there was cutlery. normally wouldn’t bother but as I was in a hotel, not motel..I needed cutlery. would be off asking reception for cutlery and not ordering off their menu! They didn’t even have plastic cutlery. the head waitress apologised but kept calling me love. I hate That! I am a customer, not someone she knows. this form of familiriaty is uneccesary and often patronising. It’s not called for when you are dealing with the public.got back to my hotel with bag in one piece. the ribs were inedible. they were well over cooked, dry and tough as old boots. I couldn’t eat them. the slaw salad I asked for on the side looked to be a day old. parts of the cabbage were brown. Not appealing at all. saving grace was the cheesecake. Not too sweet but enjoyable. my only enjoyable part of lone star tonight.
I always like the food here. Good food and good service. A very good ambiance as well. The place is awesome if you are going with group in the evening.
There were so much food on the table for we didn’t realize how big the servings were. Steak was cooked perfectly and made just right to make you say wow! Juicy and tender steaks complemented very well with their tasty sauces. Perfect place for hungry creatures yeah. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner experience here. Service was commendable. Staff were courteous and attentive. Ambiance was cozy and the place was kept tidy. Keep it up! Cheers!
I love its ribs, beef and lambs, potato salad and drinks lemonade ice tea without alcohol. Also friendly and cute staff, we enjoy it and hopefully go there next time.
Family favourite! Always a pleasure dining here and will always return! Sometimes waiting can be a bit much but taking in to consideration how busy it gets and the quality of the meal it’s always worth it. Go too from the menu would be the ‘Dixie Chicken’.
