A really special little winery in the Karangahake Gorge, great food, lots of vegetarian choices and gluten free, the service was attentive and friendly.I had the Vegetarian Autumn salad which was devine and my husband had the Chowder which he said was one of the best hes ever had.The German wine maker was on hand and talked to us at length about his wines,I can recommend the Reisling and Hubbie enjoyed the Pinot Gris.Looking foward to our next visit.Great value.Next miserable wet winters day we’ll be infront of the huge fire place with a glass of wine.Highly recommended.

I love love love this place. It is so cute and fairytale like and the friendly staff. Love it. It is an easy place to miss and it needs a little more signposting because it is a real shame if you miss this place because you couldn’t find it. It is absolutely a must when you are in the area and the Taniwha wine is to die for. But really and truly it is the personal service that is amazing. It’s old school. Nice and relaxed and wonderful. The food is great too. Definitely on my revisit many many times list. Don’t go changing Ohinemuri.

Absoluletly fantastic venue, very relaxing. The food was first class we shared the Platter at $40.00 with a selection of meat and cheeses and dips. Value for money. The Wine was superb, the service was unobtrusive and excellent. Will definitely be going there again, thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

A fantastic spot to spend a lazy summer’s afternoon.A great way to try all the wines is with the wine degustation (5 samples for $16).Our party of four shared the Ohinemuri Kitchen Tasting Board, which contained cheeses, meats, marinated veges, mushrooms, artichokes, dips and bread ($40). We sat outside in the courtyard. Great service, great food, great wine and a great setting. celestereviews.com

The staff is friendly. Great place to eat. The food is just delicious and healthy. My husband and I enjoyed the Pumpkin Curry Soup which was different, not simple or boring. I really thought the Lamb Loins Rocket Salad was divine and healthy! My husband enjoyed his Chicken Sandwich too! Love it!

This is the only true restaurant in the Paeroa area. We loved the ambiance of the al fresco dining amongst the native bush. The owners were very friendly, chatty, and although very busy were efficient. The menu was limited but all food was presented to a high standard at a reasonable price. A good wine list including some excellent selections from their own winery.
