This is the 3rd time I have purchased lunch to take back to work and the 3rd time I’ve been disappointed! I won’t be going back.The pork and fennel sausage roll was at best dry and tough and the inexperienced staff (3 of them) took a ridiculous amount of time to reheat this in the microwave. Customers came and went & I was still waiting for this thing. Its too late for me but save yourselves – dont go there.
Have heard good things about the food at this café but all I have to say are bad. As I walked into Columbus up to the counter I was not greeted by the person at all not even a simple Hello, Placed my ordered which was a HOT chocolate. Was very surprised at the price and was expecting a great hot chocolate for what I paid. Was made fast but when I took my first sip The hot chocolate was not hot was more like a semi warm chocolate. I was disappointed over all with costumer service and having a cold hot chocolate which I could not drink.
Called into Mitre 10 Mega in Cambridge today and decided to stay for lunch as the existing café had been revamped and changed to Columbus Coffee. We were greeted by a lovely young lady at the counter who suggested the special of Snapper. I usual don’t go for the specials – don’t ask me why. But am glad today I didn’t listen to myself. The fresh snapper was crumbed and lay on a generous amount of homemade potato salad, it was a divine meal, we both really enjoyed it. The service was prompt and friendly so will be back again next time we are in Cambridge.
