A big fan of the brioche. They make a good coffee too. We had breakfast here for the first time. The French toast was pretty standard but was exactly what you want in a French toast breakie with bacon, banana and maple syrup and a bit of cream for those who want to indulge a bit more. My partner had the bacon with scrambled eggs and he was a happy customer.Will be back especially for a coffee break and a brioche.
My husband and I stopped on the way to Taupo Saturday 16th Feb , OMG Phil the cinnamon Brioche was out of this world, scone amazing and our coffee still up to your normal high standard. Tried this cafe for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken and apricot crepe which was pretty good. The very smoothies were deliciously thick and flavorsome. The price was reasonable for what you got.
Love this place :)I travel up for the fieldays every year & always make sure to stop in at Rouge at least once, the coffee is always divine – one of the best flat whites I’ve ever had – if not the best 🙂 & the chicken sandwich on rye bread equally as awesome. See you guys again in June!!
We have had consistently good food and wonderful service from the rouge team. A great atmosphere. I am looking forward to being there when they next have entertainers in the courtyard.
Last week we sat down and had a lovely Greek Salad and chilled Fegoia Juice here. We sat outside away from smokers on the edge of the dining area. It was very nice. The Salad fresh and the Juice very chilled. A lovely time for a dad and son to spend together.
We live in Cambridge and always enjoy the atmosphere service and quality of food. A very nice place to just chill and enjoy a moment.
