I used to enjoy coming here years ago as Indian sweets are quite rare in Hamilton.The few times I have been recently the service has been poor. Not sure if the shopkeeper was just having a bad day today, i didnt feel welcome at all talking to him, followed by his piling 8 ball shaped sweets that had not set yet resulted in them bring a crumbled mess by the time I got them home.A bit gutted, used to love going here.

It’s no doubt they make best sweets in Hamilton if not NZ and they are honest. Best samosas and so popular you find them in many stores in Hamilton selling their samosa. I found a vege shop selling their samosa. That’s how I found about them. I guess never follow reviews. Because you never know what you’re missing out of. Though they have people from India and Fiji. I felt like it was the taste of South Africa

Sweets are good, but the food quality is never consistant. Not sure if this is due to different cooks. You may get a dish which is tasty or something of low quality.
The worst customer service I ever experienced in New Zealand. Shocking incident involving my 12 yr old son wherein the shop had open sign but door closed. We could see people in kitchen hence knocked. After few min of knocking they opened totally unapologetic about it. The guy got raged when I told this is not good customer service. He even started throwing abuses to me in front of my son. The whole shop joined in chorus and became racist and abusive towards us . It was shocking . Vowed never ever to go there again. I had heard from my friends about the shop owners being rude and I too witnessed it. I think they are bringing bad name to Indians even though they are not from India.
We order butter chicken and paneer it was worst i have ever eaten don’t order here you will be sick and their team don’t wash hands after making order
The potato pakora’s are bloody brilliant. The lad that works the till is friendly and always happy to explain what everything is and tastes like. The butter chicken I had was pretty good, a nice amount of spice just enough to slightly tickle the throat and the portion size was very very generous for a medium. Extremely happy with the food and service! A+
