Fantastic food, great service, really high quality food and the coffee is the best I’ve had in ages. I spent 3 weeks in Taupo over Christmas and went to most cafes (see my other reviews) – this is by far the best. I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict with slow cooked pork belly but everything I tried was top quality. This will definately be my cafe of choice in Taupo.
7 of us went for breakfast on boxing day and the breakfasts were delicious and came out in a timely fashion. Eggs Benedict was of a high standard. My husband’s French toast was a little soggy..but other than that everybody enjoyed immensely.
Four of us went to the cafe and the service and food was pleasant except that I asked what was in the banana bread as I don’t eat grains and the girl asked the owner. His response was to come over and unpleasantly tell me that I should not have asked what was in the food as he has spent thousands of dollars on perfecting his recipes and that lots of people want his recipes and he is not about to tell anyone what he puts in his food.I informed him nicely that I was interested in eating his food, not making it. His manner was unpleasant and inappropriate so I will never go back, the others enjoyed it.
My wife and I have breakfast here every time we come to Taupo. The food is fantastic, the staff are friendly and the service is fast.Bodyfuel is a compulsory stop for us each and every time we come to Taupo.
Not a bad effort..Went as a group of seven so was not easy fitting us in with small tables. Also the place was so HOT was sweating just sitting still and felt cramped.Some of the food we received was fantastic.. The Corn Fritters and the Eggs Benedict were very nicely done. The French toast was well below average.Coffee is great though, not burnt and nice and hot.
This cafe came recommended by a friend and I can see why.Food on display looked exceptional and a good range also. My panini was very nutritional and cooked well. Great sweet afterwards and coffee was very good.Service very good, and atmosphere excellent.If this cafe was in Hamilton where I am from then it would be one of the best ones (and yes, we have some very good cafes!!).Thoroughly recommended.
Without a doubt, the BEST cafe in Taupo, and probably North Island to be fair, and I do frequent quite a few!It’s always a MUST when we’re in Taupo, especially when doing many of the events in Taupo that we do (Ironman, 1/2 marathons, Round Taupo, etc)The food selection is amazing, and so nutritional, and a nice touch with the coffees coming with a cinnamon almond :)Great service always, whether it be early coffees or late lunches!
