We bought the vouchers on grabone. We arrived to the restaurant and had a warm welcome and nice ambience and environment in general. We were a family of 3 adults and 2 children. We waited for 10 minutes for the table to be cleared standing. All other tables were setup nicely , they called us to set on our table which wasn’t set nicely, although we told them that we were coming at 8pm. ( so basically, FINE dining restaurants should be prepare their customers tables, and that’s why people make bookings in advance. I think our table wasn’t set properly because we had grabone vouchers, maybe if we came as normal paying customers, then they would have given us the flashy table. The menu is very confusing and there are a lot of options. The prices are very experienced considering the prices in Indian restaurants in NZ ! Although the prices are expensive , the currys come with NO rice which is very disappointed. So if you want to get a curry with rice , you have to pay an average of $20 per meal. We asked for the butterfly chicken and they said they don’t have it and another item wasn’t available. We ordered and the food came to our table after 50 minutes! Kids were hungry and very upset about the delay. There was not even an apology for the delay. We finished our meal which was OK! Then asked for the bill, so many terms and conditions which don’t really make sense at all. They allowed me to use only 2 vouchers , although I had 3 vouchers and we were heading to Auckland the next day morning. He considered my 10 years old daughter meal which cost $16.50 that its not a main . I wasn’t happy at all with the terms and conditions and also the slow service and the food quality was OK. Very over-priced and lots of terms and conditions which are very misleading and dodgy. , all to prevent customers use the vouchers. Business do grabone service to promote their businesses not for the purpose of ripping off the customers. I won’t recommend anyone to visit this place.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to. The restaurant was very busy and very authentic. I love their Butter Chicken, Lamb Rogan Josh and their Naan bread is soft and divine. The great thing about this restaurant is that you can dine in or use their takeout option. The food is a very high standard and excellent quality. Highly recommend to all.

The restaurant is absolutely tidy and beautiful. Service was quick and just perfect. The food is a very high standard and excellent quality. Highly recommend for genuine Indian diners.
My friend who has eaten Indian food for a lifetime told me that Cinnamon was the best Indian food and eating experience restaurant in Taupo. So I booked my husband and I for our 40th wedding anniversary dinner.We had a great night at Cinnamon, the service was special and the food delicious.We would both highly recommend the restaurant and we will be going again.
Pappadum were the best I’ve had, and free to boot. Wonderful meal and very helpful staff. Loved that I could get gluten free vegetarian dishes. Worth a visit!
We enjoyed the colourful decor, the friendly waiter who did not hurry us and the food suited our various tastes.
