Took a trip to Taupo around new year, every other restaurant was crowded so we picked this small, tucked away Indian restaurant as our legs were getting sore from walking around finding a restaurant. The food, despite other bad comments, is surprisingly fantastic. The food came out slow, I must admit, and that their staff were always hiding away where I had to get up a few times to ask for service. Other than that the staff were friendly, helpful, and the food was fantastic. The quantity of food is reasonable given the price. Would definitely return next time I go to Taupo.
There were 6 of us riding down from Auckland and got in late to Taupo. The restaurant situated in a lane in town was still open and they happily took us in. The meals were all very good, and the Indian beer also. Staff were friendly, the food good and priced well.
Went to Mr India on Friday evening on a visit to Taupo took my wife and eight year old daughter (even made her a special curry) staff were fantastic food was as good as ever well worth the money . first time here and wow this place is good. Wonderful ambiance, stunning food great service but well worth it. I would say to anyone who likes Indian food that doesnt have to be overly spicey to be enjoyed , try this place you won’t be dissapointed.Superb!
this restraunt was excellent! the food was delectable i had the vindaloo which was perfect the atmosphere was very good i enjoyed the art it was very nice the staff were very kind,in particular my waiter dylan was great he was very hospitable and seemed like he enjoyed his job he was veryhelpful considerate and polite it was great!
