Yet again cold coffee and it took over 20 minutes to arrive. This is a lovely setting with the sun still on the outside tables in the mid afternoon now to sit and relax with a coffee and yummy slice. This is something I do as a treat so will just have to think of something more pleasant. Staff are just so out of it and are just so happy to give a refund and a card for a replacement coffee. No apology!

There is lots of yummy looking cabinet food but my muffin was dry and crumbly, my sandwich odd tasting. I could have forgiven all of this but the girl taking our order was sullen, unhelpful ( how dare I want to order food between 11.30 and 12.00) I would not go here again.
Imagine eating the yummiest chicken pot pie ever made. You will at this place. Was so good we all had to go back the next day for seconds. Still just as good. Cabinet food is faultless. Coffee hit the spot and was made well. Very friendly staff and extremely prompt service. Not somewhere to go if you’re on a tight budget, but definatly money well spent. Highly recommended.
Don’t bother stopping anywhere else this is the best cafe food you will find in Taupo!! I even stock up for the drive back home to Wellington.Good vibe, no atttitude & relaxed atmosphere.Insanely good food, service, coffee. So impressed with these guys. Attention to detail is flawless. Can’t wait until next time!

Alright coffee but had alot of grinds in my long black. the hot chocolate tasted like warm milk. Food was alright, service is always good. Overall good cafe food and alright coffee but nothing spectacular.
I live in Auckland and regularly drive through Taupo, and for the past few years have regularly treated myself by stopping here and having something to eat. I often try a different savoury dish/meal and have never been disappointed. Cant beat the custard dream slice either!. The service is always friendly and attentive too. Love this place 🙂 Glad to hear the toilets have been painted and are brighter now.
