n 1995 the van Straalen Family opened The Big Apple Restaurant and Caf overlooking their Apple, Pear & Kiwifruit Fruit Gardens as well as their dairy farm land.Pieter and Betsy's eldest son Arnold and his wife Kim and their family bought The Big Apple Restaurant and business in 2003 and it continues to grow and thrive to this present day.
