Very good but basic food (the mussell fritters are a local legend) but the ambience would not be for some. It’s the replacement venue for drinkers who used to frequent the Sir George Grey Hotel before it was demolished, so is more of a sports bar than a restaurant. A cheerful venue for either an evening’s drinking or a quick bite.
