Brilliant Service, good food and an a very good range of Gluten Free, an option they take seriously. They even brought out the pack of Hollandaise sauce for me to check as they were unsure it was gluten free (it was). Will go back when we are next passing.
Four women working in the cafe, one said yes when taking our order and despite being the only three customers in there, nobody spoke to us again. They then sat and ate their breakfast and gossiped so loudly we couldn’t hear ourselves think. Our food was served between them eating and at three different times. We only had a pie, porridge (undercooked) and 2 sad poached eggs with rubbery toast. They then all watched, whilst my husband and son looked for the toilet. All in all not a pleasant experience.
Back in January 2011 we stopped for brunch at Tastebud Cafe and I had the BEST Eggs Benedict that I have ever experienced! Yum.Totally recommend it! Read a full blog and see a pic of what my Eggs Bene looked like at http://celestereviews.wordpress.com/2011/02/08/ben-addiction/ celestereviews.com
The food and coffee here was superb. We had a quiche with side salad, and honey and nut slice – both were just perfect. Our latte and soy mocha were also spot on. Nice and hot, strong but not so much that they were bitter.
