A few tips on cooking and coffee are needed here.First.Only use streaky bacon for eggs benedict. It adds flavor that is always needed.Second put the hollandaise on a side dish instead of drowning the dish in it.this is especially important if you arent making hollandaise as the bottled stuff is sickly anyway. At lest then the rest of the breakfast wont be ruined.Thirdly.Add some greens.a bit of spinach goes a long way. Adds color and flavor.thirdly. Serve your meals on the best posible loaf or home made potatoe/kumara cake. Not a crappy bun or average toast.this is a huge mistake. The coffee was ok. I eat out 3 mornings a week. Coffee every day. I would be reluctant to stop here again unless it improves dramatically.A long black should be served in a very small tea cup.this way the hot water you deliver on the side doesnt affect the flavour. A long black in a big cup is watered down and weak already and is basically a black coffee..Othrwise the name is cool the Parking is good.the decor and feel is good. The cabinet food looks okay. You just need to take the chef on a tour of the north island eating out.every morning so he can get the message.

Food was very good for the price. Lunch meals for around $10. Would stop again for this reason. Place could do with a spruce up. A few flies around though which was annoying – though it was January. Also some tables still had dirty dishes on for a while but it was busy.Food is good for the price so would come again, but atmosphere needs some work.

The coffee was appalling when we called through in July 2012. We were on our way from Auckland airport south. If the barista doesn’t smile then run for the hills! Too many people standing around behind the counter with no enthusiasm. I hope they have changed hands.
