Definitely NOT wheelchair accessible. Lovely ramp up that tempts you into thinking you can get in, only to find a wide, deep step at the door. We left, unfed and most disappointed. No idea if there is a wheelchair accessible toilet either. Time for able bodied people to stop putting barriers in the way of others.
This place was great. Friendly, quick service, fantastic food and it’s not as pricy as you would think.I would recommend anyone to come here it’s great.All they could work on is the background music and the menu outside which is presented in a way in which people look and walk away.9.9/10 for me though.
What a stunning location! 14 of us gathered for a girlfriends 40th, our food was delicious, all arriving at the same time, & seriously, no complaints from anyone on anything & we pretty much all had entrees, mains & desserts, pretty good going not to get one thing wrong, well done Blonde staff. & a great selection on the menu too, everything was covered no matter what you felt like & the stone grill was a hit too. Will definately visit again. Only thing was the bar staff couldn’t keep up with us (which was a big ask really) but we didn’t mind making our own way to the bar in between serves 🙂
2 star because it’s hit and miss regarding the service. Most times it seems like there are not enough staff on which if changed would make for a wonderful restaurant rather than watching people flit around in a flap because they’re run off their feet.Love the stone grill though.Come on Blonde – pick it up a notch.
Thanks so much Blonde for a fantastic meal and night out with the family. The service was awesome with friendly staff and the meals were the best we have had in a long time! My husband had the lamb and I had the stonegrill chicken, both were beautiful and dessert was yummy too. The kids enjoyed their meals too and were kept entertained in the well set out play area. A great restaurant would definitely recommend to all.
My partner and I drove from Auckland to Whitianga for the weekend. I didn’t know, but he had planned to propose to me. He decided he wanted the restaurant to help him on the evening, and he approached a well-established restaurant who deal in weddings to help him but they wouldn’t. Walking past Blonde, we were impressed with their menu. He walked in to book a table and chat to the chef – the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Anyway – dinner itself was wonderful. I had snapper and my partner had chicken served on a hot stone plate which we thought was very novel. Dessert came – he had asked the chef to write the proposal on my dessert plate and that was put before me which I thought was wonderful. The staff were so lovely. A great experience!
I had the most amazing night! I bought my girlfriend out and could not have wished for a better night! I had an eye fillet which was cooked to a perfect mid rare, amy had the stone grill and the presentation = WOW! The wait staff were brilliant asking the right questions at the right times and smiling! Aparently its hard to find a restaurant with friendly smiling waitresses but we sure found it here! The view is stunning! All and all well done 5 stars! Will definatly be back!
