This place will give you a memory that you will not forget and it is not a good one. It was the worst food and service you could ever imagine. From the time we got their the waitress had no idea what was happening. We sat and we sat for a long time until a old menu arrived dirty with food stains. The premises felt as though they needed a good clean. When the food came out it was uneatable. One dish smelled like it was really old while the other was soaking in oil. Only the fried chips got eaten. When we tried to discuss the service and food we only got a angry reply. This restaurant will only survive on people that have never been their before. It has kept a memory in our thoughts of the worst restaurant we have ever dined out in (service, food & cleanliness.)

We arrrived here for breakfast and thought what a great looking place. Unfortunately our experience was not great. We were ignored for 10 mins – we were the only ones there!! The owner treated as we were a nuisance for going there and didn’t even talk to us. My Salmon and potato breakfast was cold and the coffee very average. Would never visit again!!

Lovely lunch. Very pleasant atmosphere. Quintessential NZ.My wife had the best salad accompanying her locally-caught grilled fish that she’d ever experienced. 14 fresh ingredients (a foodie, she counted). A quirky and an enthusiast owner/chef, and friendly and helpful wait staff.Price point, great value too. Recommended! I wish it was closer to my home in Auckland. But maybe then I couldn’t get a table?

What a great find, my wife loved her scallops, I had the mussels that we excellent, then we had to have desert, the sticky date pudding was amazing and the carrot cake was the best in the world.A place to avoid if you have little will power. Prices were very reasonable too. I cant wait to come back again.

Fantastic! We met by accident, but were far from disappointed;)* Top service from a very friendly waitress ( new girl;))* Top class food. I could taste their passion for food, which is clearly the heart of their business.* Child friendly* Beautiful Vegetarian dish – i was delighted to see something a bit more inviting than pasta or risotto on the menu. I felt like my taste buds were truelly spoilt:-)*WIFI Could’ve had food a li’l quicker, but it was a full restaurant and we hadnt booked, yet they accommodated us!Will I return – oh yes, every time I’m in the Coromandel!
