The curse of Whitianga strikes again! Decided to try this newish place to go for our evening meal. The service at the last 2 times at Hogs breath ensured we would try somewhere new. But alas the same thing. Happened here! We waited 45 mins for any food, and they brought the starters ( nachos and garlic bread) and mains ( pizzas) out at the same time. Unbelievable! Maybe this is just the way it is in whitianga? But how you are supposed to fit all the food on the table and eat it all whilst Still warm enough is beyond me. They said it wasn’t requested that we have the food at different stages, even though we had asked how long our ‘starters’ would be after waiting 35 minutes. The food was fine and pizzas tasty but the service let the place down. The staff were nice enough and apologised for our ‘different expectations’ The live music started at 8 as the restaurant was fast emptying. A shame really, as we would have liked to hear more, but we had been there so long, that when they took a break at 9, it was time to go.
