This USED to be an excellent café and a great place to take friends and visitors – but not any more I’m afraid. We came for lunch and after ordering our meals searched for a table. There was only one vacant table that wasn’t covered in plates or crumbs. Several other groups of people who arrived after us had to clear and wipe their tables with paper serviettes before they could sit down. Even a word with one of the table staff didn’t prompt any table cleaning action. The whole café was untidy, and the staff didn’t look like they knew what they should be doing. Also the toilets were very unclean. The owner or manager needs to address these issues fairly promptly before word gets around that this is no longer the classy café that is has been for several years. A very disappointing experience – we won’t be back.

Travelled for hours to find this perfect setting arrived at 2.30 Friday 3/1/2014. 3 tables of 4 eating and a mess on every other table – looked like a bomb site. No background music except radio in kitchen – no atmosphere. As recommended I ordered the corn fritters. Sorry sold out – come on guys only takes a minute to mix up another batch. Ended up with chicken sandwich which was store bought (local paknsav maybe) chicken schnitzel – felt like we have been at KFC!!!They put up the sign to say kitchen closed at 2.40 and we watched many people come in and look at remnants of cabinet food to choose from and leave – that’s a lot of $s lost. Time to get an expert in to review the operation and engage staff who want to run a smart efficent cafe in such an excellent location.Very disappointed

Went here on New Year’s day, menus stated they had run out of fries and wedges- yet still charged for full meals. My partner had Chicken Schnitzel which tasted like it had been microwaved and brought from a packet at the supermarket. I ordered eggs Benedict, the mushrooms had a strong flavor of vinegar and the sauce, very little flavor- although eggs cooked perfectly- overall very disappointing- I would hate to imagine the quality had the place been full of people.

Called in for Mother’s Day brunch. The cafe was extremely busy. We expected a wait, so we wandered around with our glasses of wine and sampled some of the amazing cheeses. The creamy blue is really a true blue very yummy. The meals arrived and they looked great. There was a duck breast salad and it was cooked perfect nice and rare. Great to see they use seasonal game food. The steak was also cooked spot on. Nice wines as well. The treats in the cabinet were delicious custard squares yes!. Great job all around. Highly recommend

Called in for lunch. Food was Ok – a little pricy, I had crumbed Camembert and salad and my Daughter had French Toast – fairly prices over $40 for the meals, a coffee and a hot chocolate. Food was good – not fantastic. Ambiance wasn’t that great – room is too big – feels a bit like a train station

Met my daughter and family here today ordered chips, nuggets, big breakfast and French toast. $60.00 all up.Meal took about 45 mins to come, chips were uncooked and full of oil. Big breakfast had one piece of bacon. Revolting all round. Spoke to the girl about it and she said she would get manager, we are home now still waiting to see him. Never never again stay clear. Plus the flies.

Great cafe, plenty of home baked items. Some of the areas finest cheeses being made here. The menu uses many of these cheeses to a very high accord. If you are in the area this is a must stop. The steak sandwich is amazing great job!!
