Kava is the perfect place to sit back and relax and take in the atmosphere of such a groovy little town. People are friendly (I must clarify, the locals are friendly ) and the prices are excellent! The freshly made smoothies are my favourite, we were in Waihi for a week and I had to come in daily to get my fix ! 😀 Seems to me like a great family run business, I felt so comfortable there and it is a great change from the ponsy, impatient/rushed atmosphere in the city – I will definitely be heading back to Waihi on my next break, and Kava’ you will be my first stop!
Incredibly poor, we ordered coffee and a big breakfast each, our coffees were wrong and had staff bringing shots out and they still messed it up. The wait was too long and we all got a different meal despite ordering the same food, some got extra toast and some got white others got brown and all meals looked like they were sloped on to the plate disgusting!
