Dined for lunch with the family on a nice summers day. Apart from the strange drunk man outside on arrival, everything else was enjoyable. Young lady who served us was friendly and helpful. Despite dining at lunch time with quite a full dining area we received our meals in around 15 minutes. Meals were as described and very generous portion sizes. Food was well cooked and had good flavour. We felt the prices were reasonable for what we received and would definitely return

Our visit was ok but nothing special. we have been here in the past about 1 1/2 year ago and it was really nice, nice people good food and a really nice feel about it. Now its average and a bit more pub like than restaurant.
What a transformation! The new owners of the Sterling truly revamped and transformed the premises and the business turning it from a place you would not want to be seen in to a lovely family friendly restaurant and bar. We have been here several times and the service is always excellent and very friendly and the food is always lovely and very reasonably priced. My favourite is the calamari or the seafood chowder for an entree, and the pork belly or steak for mains. They were doing a beautiful tiramisu but that wasn’t on the menu last time. Very good value place to take the family.
