Took my wife and kids out for an awesome meal at Snapper Jacks, the staff were friendly and the fish was amazing. I recommend Snapper Jacks to anyone who wants fresh fish and chips.
Went there today. Terrible and rude service unfriendly staff. Got order completely wrong didn’t bring my order my son ate his and they didn’t notice I hadn’t had my order. When I noticed other people getting orders after mine asked about it no apology given was blamed for not ordering. When it came it was a tiny bit of fish and Kumara Fry’s not very nice and too expensive. Stay away and get better service else where. While I was waiting I rested my hands on the back of the bench and got cuts on three of my finger tips when I pointed this out again no apology but some vague promise to look at it later!!!!!!
Excellent experience, Fish was fresh and beautifully cooked. Homemade cheeseballs AMAZING all round family winner.=)
Great chips & the gurnard I had was cooked beautifully, very happy with what I got.
Totally other experience than the last reviewer.Crisp batter, tasty fish, crisp golden home made chips.Comes on a plate at no extra cost if you want to eat in, though more complete fish meals are also available.Don’t take them home to eat, though, as a notice warns the chips will go soggy if not eaten fresh.Kapiti ice cream is also sold. Why can’t I find fish and chips like this in Wellington?
Just spent a small fortune on the worst takeaway in a long time. The fish was $6.50 for a small piece of snapper that was dripping in grease/oil. The homemade chip were so greasy/oily we couldn’t eat them. Must have been a month since they changed the cooking oil. I wish I could say something good about the food that I can’t.
