Been here several times and never had an issue. Dropped in on Saturday, went out of my way to go.There was one person ordering coffee when I went in, they placed their order, staff member chatted to them and started to make coffees, I was waiting at the counter. Staff memeber did not say a word to me, despite looking right at me. Continuted to make coffee and ingore me, not even a hello, just be a second. 2nd staff member appeared from out the back, looked at me, turned their back on me to wash their hands. Then turned around and just stood back from the counter watching me. I asked if anyone was going to serve me, and I got no answer. I waited a few seconds, I asked if they were always that rude and walked out. Other customer in the shop said ‘good on you’ as I left. I will never go out of my way to visit there again.
Walking past we decided to stop in for a quick coffee. The drinks menu was good and we ended up getting an iced coffee (so good that it was finished before we reached the end of the road) and a flat white (savored). There was also a good range of food including fresh breads and salads. At first Glance I though there were only the two small tables out the front however there is a sheltered area beside the shop. jenjaroo.com
Delicious coffee with speedy and friendly service. Great food selection which I’ll stop by to get one of these days! It’s very handy on the way to work.
This is a find in the coffee desert that is otherwise Alicetown. A little gem both figuratively and physically. Recommended if you find yourself needing coffee in this part of the Hutt.
The coffee is terrific, the food is really nice, but its the staff that makes this place a real gem!! Last Sunday, my wife and I popped down for a coffee. Unfortunately we were 25mins early, so they weren’t set up for the day. The stools were still up, the bread wasn’t unpacked, so we turned around to walk home. As we walked away, the staff yelled out to us to come back. They were more than happy to serve us. I wanted to share this story because its typical of the excellent customer service you always get at Alicetown Espresso.
Awesome friendly service. Great Coffee. It is great to support the local provider. Good to see they are increasing their capacity to get coffee out quicker. All food looks and smells amazing. Hope they are doing a roaring trade and stay in business.
Awesome little place recently opened in Alicetown, with friendly and upbeat staff. Love the atomosphere and the fitout is great.So great to have a good coffee place locally.
